About Grid Analyst Review

Analyst Review is an opt-in service that uses a team of risk analysts who manually screen initial and portfolio monitoring requests of both persons and organizations that match in Grid. The team uses the information in Grid, external research and firm guidelines to make an “Alert” or “No Match” decision on inquiry batches.

Analysts review all matches for false positive elimination and materiality based on each firm's unique rule set.  They act as an extension of our customers' analyst teams, providing an additional level of assurance and quality control to reduce alert rates.

Alert or no match decision logic

Decision logic is the determining factor for what is alerted and what is rejected, such as "No Match." If the matching parameters are too narrow, valid alerts may be missed. If the parameters are too flexible, alerts may prove to be insignificant or inconsistent.

Our decision logic ensures that match variables are handled in a consistent manner. When determining which alerts are the strongest and most beneficial to our customers, we consider the following:

  • Strength of the name

  • Age proximity

  • Address proximity

  • Severity of the problem code

  • Customer feedback
