Inquiry submission errors for Grid spreadsheet uploads
If you receive an error message when you upload your inquiries using the spreadsheet upload feature in the Grid web interface, your spreadsheet is rejected as a whole.
Error messages list the rows and fields that require correction. Once all issues are remedied, the spreadsheet can be reloaded in its entirety. Be sure to select Submit Search Group to complete the upload.
Common scenarios that generate error messages:
The Type field is empty. This field must always contain a P (Person), O (Organization), or U (Unknown) value.
Both an age and a date of birth (DOB) are included in the same field.
Data is added to the Instructions tab instead of the Search Data tab.
The spreadsheet is saved with a file extension other than XLS (Excel 97-2003 Workbook).
