About Grid Client Alert Decisioning

The Client Alert Decisioning add-on service offers our customer's compliance team members the ability to review Moody's screening results directly within the Grid web interface, independent of whether the Analyst Review service is utilized. With this service, our customers can decide to include or exclude potentially matching Grid record details in an inquiry’s final results set. If this capability is configured, this workflow step is inserted before the final response is sent back to our customer's own solution.

Using this tool, firms have the ability to review, assign, decision, and close alerts on Moody's screening results, directly from the Grid web interface.

If configured for your firm, the Client Alert Decisioning workflow also provides:

  • A complete audit trail of decisions made on alerts.

  • Online batch status reports.

  • Configurable email notifications.

  • Daily monitoring for new risk information for all eligible submissions.

Screening process with Client Alert Decisioning

  1. Names are submitted through the web interface, SFTP RIB, or API.

  2. All inquiries are run through Moody's name match engine and are compared against records in Grid.

  3. Any records that match an entity are then run through any firm data filters.

  4. Email alerts are sent to the firm when a batch's results are available.

  5. The firm reviews and decisions all potential match alerts using Client Alert Decisioning .

  6. After the firm makes a final decision on all the alerts within a batch, the batch is marked complete, and reports become available.

  7. With portfolio monitoring, inquiries are monitored daily for new information captured in Grid, possibly leading to alerts on entities that did not alert when they were originally uploaded.

Client Alert Decisioning user workflows and features

Client Alert Decisioning offers alert review and management capabilities from the Grid web interface.

  • Dashboard: Users assigned to the Client Alert Decisioning dashboard role have access to the dashboard page. This page includes graphs and tables with firm metrics associated with inquiry volumes, reviews in open batches, open reviews by users, and open batches by Batch ID.

  • Assigned Reviews: This workflow launches with the display of all open inquiries awaiting match review and decisioning. Use this feature to review, decision, and close alerts associated with individual inquiries not necessarily associated with the same Batch ID. The Assigned Reviews workflow also offers the ability to assign review ownership to users or groups within their firm.

  • Batches For Review: This workflow launches with the display of all open batches with inquiries awaiting match review and decisioning. This decisioning workflow guides users through each inquiry within the selected batch so you can complete and close that batch immediately. The Batches for Review workflow also offers the ability to assign review ownership to users or groups within their firm.

Note

The Client Alert Decisioning workflow is compatible and can be integrated with the Analyst Review solution.

Configuration options

Client Alert Decisioning has its own set of configuration options.

  • User roles: This solution comes with its own set of user access roles. Firm users can be granted access to one, some or all Client Alert Decisioning workflows based on their business responsibilities within your firm.

  • Reason codes: Reason code drop-downs for decisions made or to narrow options can be added, if desired.

  • Inquiry decisions: Firms have the ability to force a decision on all matches before an inquiry is completed (or not completed).

  • Notifications: Additional notification options are available when Client Alert Decisioning is added.

If this capability is active, this step occurs before a response is sent back to your firm's solution.

Note

The Grid Client Alert Decisioning solution is sometimes referred to as iCAD, Integrated Client Alert Decisioning, or Alert Decisioning.
